The 2022 season is going to be upon us before we know it. The Colorado Buffaloes have announced the 2022 conference football schedule as the PAC-12 released it’s schedule Thursday morning. The Buffs have five league home games and six in all at Folsom Field.

Colorado will open the season schedule on Sept. 2 against TCU. The fist ever meeting between the two schools. The Horned Frogs finished 2021 with a 5-7 record but you can never count any Texas team out.

Followed by some road matchups On Sept. 10 the Buffs will travel to take on Air Force for the first time since 1974. A week later the Buffs will go up to Minneapolis on September 17th to spar with The Univeristy of Minnesota.

The real fun comes on September 24th when Colorado opens the PAC-12 play against UCLA. Many holes will have to be filled for the Buffs to have a successful outing against the Bruins.

Going into October they get the Arizona Wildcats on Oct. 1st. Colorado will be looking for the third straight win of that series. This past season Colorado beat the Wildcats 34-0.

On Saturday Oct. 15th the Buffs roll onto the Pacific where they will face off against Oregon State. The Buffaloes had a nail biting double overtime win in Boulder this past year. So let’s see if Colorado will match up to the test again.

They will come home for a couple of weeks. Hosting Arizona State for their 107th Homecoming game. Colorado has won four out of the last 5 games against the Sun Devils. Losing this last season 13-35.

On Nov. 5th the pride of Boulder take on the Oregon Ducks. That matchup of the PAC-12s powerhouse is going to be a big test for the Buffs and a huge learning experience for what the future could hold.

Then comes Friday Night Lights come on November 11th. The Buffaloes have never beaten USC. The Trojans will come in 15-0 against the Buffaloes. Is this the year the tide will finally turn?

Nov. 19th Colorado is back on the road to challenge the Washington Huskies. Coming off a close win in 2021 inching out Washington 20-17.

The glorious Buffs will close out the regular season following Thanksgiving. Colorado will host defending PAC-12 Champions Utah Utes. Just losing against Utah 13-28 at the end of the 2021 season.

The PAC-12 Championships are set for Dec. 2nd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The Colorado Buffaloes finished the 2021 season 4-8 with a struggling 3-6 in conference play. There were some great early signings already this week. Head Coach Karl Dorrell is already hopeful for the future and said the signings are off to a great start.
