The CU Buffs men’s basketball team bounce back after a hard loss to Arizona, and make it rain in the desert of Tempe. Taking down the Sun Devils 75-57. It was just the type of strong play that the men of Boulder needed to bounce back for a powerful Pac-12 win.

Jabari Walker led the way for the Buffs, with his 8th double double of the season, scoring 18 points and going 7 for 14 in field goal makes. He towered over everybody for 13 rebounds. That is how you come back from a loss. Keeshawn Barthelemy had 16 points and 9 rebounds, with 4 assists. Evan Battey and Tristan da Silva matched each other’s points, both achieving 11 points.

Colorado shot 43 percent from the field which outmatched Arizona State by 10 percent. It was the three pointers that set the Buffaloes apart from the Sun Devils, to give them such an outstanding win. Making 10 three point field goals, when Arizona State only made 5. The Buffs also won the rebound game with a whopping 10 offensive rebounds. We all know, whoever wins the race on the boards usually wins the game. Colorado had more turnovers with 11, but it didn’t matter when the three point shots were raining in.

This was one of the biggest wins the Buffs have had on the road in the Pac-12, and the first time they have really got going in three point land. Not everybody was perfect, but where they weren’t stepping up on offense players were stepping up on defense. Knowing that they can score this amount from long point range is something they will have to have to challenge all the best in the Pac-12.

Colorado will go back home to take on USC on Thursday. The No.5 team in the nation will come into Boulder to test the Buffs. Let’s hope these three pointers can keep on raining in the mountains too. It would be a great game to gain more respect in the conference, and more confidence for themselves.
