Colorado has always been a Mecca for Winter Sports. The 2022 Winter Olympic Games is coming upon us, and here are some sensational athletes you are going to want to watch this year.

Colorado is going to be heavily represented in this years Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. The games start on February 4th and continue though the 20th on NBC. The Colorado Buffaloes will also be represented with 7 athletes. The state of Colorado has always faired well in representation. In 2018 there were 31 athletes more than any other state in the United States.

5. Joanne Reid

Joanne Reid will compete in her second Olympic Games for the sport of Biathlon. She reigns from Palo Alto, California. This Grand Junction resident will compete in one of the toughest sports there is. Doing both cross country skiing and rifle shooting. Reid was a cross country skier for the Buffs and comes from a long line of Olympic Athletes. She is a 29 year old from Madison Wisconsin. Part of two World Championships and 2 World Cups. In the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang she finished 22nd.
