Colorado Buffaloes star linebacker Nate “The Hammer” Landman is off to the Shrine Bowl next week. Nate was named thedraftnetwork.com top 4 most exciting players to watch. The East-West Shrine Bowl will play it’s 97th game at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. At 8 p.m. ET Thursday, February 3rd on the NFL Network.

Nate Landman started his college career in 2017. The 6’3” 235 pound linebacker from Danville, California has been a tackling machine for the Buffs when he’s remained healthy. In 2018 and 2019 he totaled over 100 solo tackles those seasons. In his career in Boulder he has had a total of 409 tackles, 10 sacks, and 3 interceptions. Nate is a former two time first team All Pac-12 linebacker. He was also a semi-finalist for the Butkus award twice. After a torn ACL back in December he is progressing well and looks to be a force be reckoned with soon in the NFL.

The hammering linebacker Landman has been invited to the NFL Combine in March in Indianapolis. Where he can hopefully put his talents to the test, and show scouts and coaches just what he can do for a team. We look forward to seeing him on Sundays and carry on the Buffs legacy to the very top of the game.

While it is amazing news he is not the only Buff heading to the the Shine Bowl. Fellow linebacker Carson Wells is joining him. Wells reigns out of Bushnell Florida. A 6’4” 250 pound Junior linebacker, he came onto the scene in Boulder in 2018. His best season was 2021 with 69 total tackles. In his career with Colorado he brought in 196 tackles, 15.5 sacks, and 3 interceptions, and 1 interception for a touchdown this past season. He is excellent on the edge and is going to shine on any NFL team.

We look forward to seeing both our boys on Sundays in the NFL. As for now don’t forget to watch them in the East-West Shrine Bowl Feb. 3rd on NFL Network, where college football’s greats will shine in the shrine.
