It’s been a rocky ride so far for the Colorado Buffaloes mens basketball team. The Buffs have dropped four of their last five conference games and now will be without head coach Tad Boyle for Thursday night’s game against the Oregon Ducks after testing positive for COVID.

Associate head coach Mike Rohn will likely takeover Tad’s duties on Thursday night. Rohn has been with the Buffs coaching staff for over 12 years now and was promoted to associate head coach in October of 2017.

Boyle is very fond of Rohn (per CUBuffs.com)

"Mike is the ultimate grinder; works extremely hard and he’s a guy that thinks, a forward-thinker. He’s ready to be a head coach. He has all the tools in what it takes to be a head coach, and is invaluable to our staff, and to me."

The Buffs will look to break out of their losing ways Thursday night after a rough week and a half of basketball.

Boyle’s status is uncertain for Saturday’s game at home vs. Oregon State.

Get well soon, coach!
