Colorado Buffaloes former point guard Spencer Dinwiddie had a night he won’t forget. The 6’6″ guard notched his first career triple-double en route to a 106-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Spencer got to celebrate with his son Elijah after the game.
Dinwiddie scored 14 points, hauled down 12 rebounds — five of which were offensive — and collected 10 assists while being +4 on the night. Spencer had a rough shooting game, going 4-of-16 from the field but went 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.
Congrats, Spencer!
Earlier this week his name was brought up in some trade rumors (The Ringer)
"The Wizards want to move Dinwiddie because he looks like a shell of his former self and his teammates don’t want him there."
Spencer is averaging 13.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game with shooting splits of 38.3/31.4/80.7 in 41 games for the Wizards.
Though his numbers are down from his career year with the Brooklyn Nets in 2019-20′, he isn’t getting nearly the same shot volume.
Dinwiddie played for the Buffs from 2011-14 where he averaged 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists with splits of 42.0/38.6/83.0.
He was drafted in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons in the second round with the 38th overall pick.
