Colorado Buffaloes Football National Signing Day Live tracker

The last signing period of the ‘22 recruiting class brought Colorado three new players and potential stars. They signed 22 players the first round of early National Signing Day back in December that head coach Karl Dorrell thinks is very significant for his team. Coach Dorrell held a press conference earlier talking about the progress of his recruiting process. Here is what he had to say about the three new signees:

1. Alex Harkey

"“A junior offensive lineman from Tyler Community College. Excited about what he can provide for us. With some depth and obviously some potential to play and be an impactful player for us up front.”“A junior offensive lineman from Tyler Community College. Excited about what he can provide for us. 2. Van Wells

"”An offensive lineman from Houston area Texas in Kings High School. Very dynamic player, reminds me a lot of a player we had here in the past years ago Andre Gurode really good player for us from the same area in Houston. He will play center for us and be here this Summer.””An offensive lineman from Houston area Texas in Kings High School. 3. Jeremy Mack

"“Safety from East Mississippi Community College, Jeremy Mack. A very dynamic player, very versatile player, really like what his skill set provides for us in the defensive backfield for us in the future. He’s a guy who probably has the footwork of a corner, but plays safety position. Very instinctual player, kind of a ballhawk, great tackler a good young player we feel that’s going to be a very impactful player as well in this class.”“Safety from East Mississippi Community College, Jeremy Mack. The Buffs also recently picked up a grad transfer Ramon Jefferson. An FCS All-American from Sam Houston State. Dorrell seems to think he can make an immediate and significant impact on the team. He is really excited about this power horse being part of the new class of guys too, saying he’s going to be a great addition and give the Buffs some depth and experience.

"“We’re excited. We’re excited about the future of this year, I know our coaches are excited to get going. With some football school that’s going to lead into spring practice. There’s a lot of great energy that’s in our building right now. The additions we made in this program, are in a lot of ways, I think a little bit more of an upgrade from things we’ve had in terms of attrition stand point. We feel really good about us moving forward with the players that we have and the energy is great and everybody’s ready to work.” -Karl Dorrell on the additions and energy of the program."

Dorrell said it wasn’t a great season last year, we all know that. He did go on to say he liked how the team finished the year, by playing hard. Being competitive. But the body of work was substandard compared to what we are looking for. All the coaches seem excited about about a fresh start with a young team going into 2022.

Here are Karl Dorrell’s last words on the guys who are here and ready and willing to play after so many transfer portal losses:

"“The guys that are here are because they’re committed, They’re determined, there’s a sense of loyalty. There’s an allegiance to the school. They are inspired to do great things and to prove a lot of people wrong.”“The guys that are here are because they’re committed, They’re determined, there’s a sense of loyalty. There’s an allegiance to the school. They are inspired to do great things and to prove a lot of people wrong.”"

He does wish all of his transfers who left well, and hopes they all got what they were looking for. This is just the way of the world in college football now. For now Colorado is moving forward and there’s a good feeling in the air in Boulder that head coach Dorrell hasn’t felt before.
