The Colorado Buffaloes continue to rely on sophomore forward

Jabari Walker

and he continues to deliver. The Buffs started off their three-game road trip by taking care of business in Corvallis, defeating the Beavers by the final score of 90-64.

What more can you say about the play from Jabari right now? When he’s not in foul trouble, this guy is one of the top players not only in the conference, but in the entire NCAA. Colorado’s star forward netted 24 points on 6-of-12 shooting, knocking down 2-of-3 from distance while going a perfect 10-of-10 from the charity stripe.

As long as Walker’s on his game, the Buffs always seem to have a chance.

The Buffs did what they had to do Tuesday night which was take care of business on the road against an Oregon State team that has won just one conference game all season. Not to mention, just three wins all season.

Beavers junior guard Dashawn Davis did all he could to keep his Beavers in it, but realistically it just wasn’t enough to overcome Colorado’s offensive firepower. Davis finished with a team-high 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting, hauling down three rebounds while collecting six assists.

Colorado’s bench was solid yet again, including a career-high 14 points from Luke O’Brien on 5-of-6 shooting. K.J. Simpson added 10 points of his own while pulling down five rebounds.

The Buffs had two other starters in double-figures, including Tristan da Silva adding 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting and Nique Clifford with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting.

The key points tonight for Colorado was making sure they played a clean game while dominating the glass.

They did just that.

Colorado out-rebounded Oregon State 45-25 and shot 50.0% from the field, 47.6% from three, and 81.8 (18-22) from the free-throw line.

Keeshawn Barthelemy and Evan Battey had rough nights from the field, combining to go 4-of-14 from the field but did manage to chip in 11 points.

The Buffs have two games remaining on this road trip before returning home. Colorado travels to Berkeley to take on the Calfornia Golden Bears Thursday night. I would like to say that this is a must-win game for Tad Boyle‘s Buffs who sit at 8-7 in conference play.

Just continue to take that one game at a time approach.
