It was another must win game for head coach JR Payne and company. A tough ask for on the road but Colorado rose to the challenge for two back to back wins in L.A. With the win it is a sweep against the Cali squads for the second straight time this season, and they receive their 18th win.

519. Final. 67. 514. 54

Mya Hollingshed was once again the star of the show scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. She was the lone starter in double digits and became the 9th all-time scorer in CU Buffs history. Quay Miller came off the bench with 13 points, proving once again to be one of the best sixth woman in today’s game.

Colorado and USC stayed head to head in rebounds, but it was the Buffs that broke away with three-point shooting success. Shooting 41 percent from the three point line and 47 percent from the floor. They shot 12 for 19 at the free throw line. At only 63 percent they will need to improve on that for wins in closer games.

Head coach JR Payne is very excited to get back home and take care of business. Happy with the wins but excited to earn more. It will be the last two games at home for the seniors. She urges everyone to come out and see them play one last time. It will be one of the last appearances for Mya Hollingshed to be dressed for Colorado before she is off to the bigger stage of the WNBA.

Next up for the Buffs the Oregon Ducks will come into town as Colorado looks to keep their win streak a live, and a chance to get in to some tournament play. Tip off is at 7:00 PM at the Coors Events Center. The Ducks come in at 18-9 coming off a close close to Stanford. Colorado looks to keep the dream alive for the Buffs and embark on a third straight win.
