Colorado Buffaloes Football: CU Buffs add Cordale Grundy to the coaching staff
By Shay McBryde
Cordale Grundy has made a home in Boulder. With one of the latest adds to the Colorado Buffaloes football staff, former UTSA dual threat quarterback Cordale Grundy has made his new home with the herd.
As a junior at UTSA Grundy started 9 games and threw for 989 yards, acquiring 5 touchdowns that season. In his senior season in 2019 he just saw a couple contests. Prior to coming to Boulder he has spent the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
Straight out of Tulsa, Oklahoma from Booker T. Washington High School Cordale then attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M junior college. Grundy later transferred to the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he had a productive couple of seasons.
“Thankful to spend the last two seasons working for the Miami Dolphins! I appreciate Coach Flo and Chris Grier for given me the opportunity! Coach Grundy said on Twitter.
It adds another coach to the Buffs with NFL experience, which could bode very well for Colorado going forward. The biggest former NFL coach so far has been new wide receivers coach Phil McGeoghan who is already making a splash in recruiting.
Head coach Karl Dorrell has done a great job this off season fine tuning every position on the field and on the coaching staff to turn this team around for next season.
