For the fifth time program history the Colorado Basketball mens and women’s teams have gotten to another 20 win season. The men now look onto the Pac-12 Conference Tournament in a great place. Coming in as the 4 seed with a first round bye. Some fans earlier this week did not think it would be possible.
Tad Boyle and company left no stones unturned the way they finished the regular season. The Buffs dominated Utah Saturday evening winning big on the road 84-71. They clinched their first winning road record in 53 years.
It goes to show you despite the controversy how good of a Head coach Tad Boyle is. A team strained with injuries went out there and got it done. They were guaranteed the first round bye into the tournament win or lose. However, a loss would have made a fourth place tie between Colorado, Washington, and Washington State. CU earned every bit of that first round bye.
The duo of Evan Battey and Jabari Walker in post season play is going to be something special and exciting to watch at T-Mobile Arena. The women already put on a show in Vegas, now it’s the mens turn to show the nation what Colorado basketball can do.
It is the second consecutive year Colorado has earned themselves a first round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament. They will face either the No. 5 seed Oregon or No. 12 seed Oregon State on Thursday, March 10th at 2:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
We took to see Twitter to see the how the pride of Buff Nation feel after the big win. Here’s what some of them had to say:

You have to go back to 1968-69 to find a better Colorado performance on the road.

Before Coach Boyle’s tenure, CU had 4 (FOUR!) 20 win seasons in PROGRAM HISTORY.
Coach Boyle & staff have had 9 (!!!) 20 win seasons in 12 years.
Buff Nation, please understand how fortunate we are for a leader like Coach Boyle. Don’t take it for granted! #GoBuffs 🦬 pic.twitter.com/sYf8vUZVau
Tad Boyle's #CUBuffs have won 20 games for the 13th time in program history and the 9th time under Boyle. Colorado has a chance at their program record for wins in a season—24.
