Colorado Basketball: Buffs are headed to the beach in 2022 for the Myrtle Beach Invitational

The Colorado Buffaloes men’s basketball team get to go from one beautiful scenery to another next season, after accepting an invite to the Myrtle Beach Invitational in November. The Myrtle Beach Invitational will be held on November 17th, 18th, and 20th in 253 days.

The invitational began in 2018 founded by ESPN Regional Television. With a field exhibiting 8 teams a the HTC Center Conway in South Carolina. The first ever Champions of the multi-team event was UCF, followed by Baylor University. Last years winners were Utah State.

The field for 2022 will include Boise State, Charlotte, UMASS, Loyola of Chicago, Texas A&M, Tulsa, and now Colorado. The eighth and final school is yet to be announced. Every game will be televised on ESPN, which is great media and representation for all schools involved.

It’s going to be a jam packed event in one of the biggest tourist destinations in America. Colorado coming off a great 20 win season. Charlotte is one of the top teams in Conference USA. Loyola of Chicago is coming off a 25 win season and is headed to the NCAA Tournament this year. The Aggies have also had an outstanding season in the SEC with 20 wins as well. Boise State is atop of the Mountain West with 24 wins. All of the teams are now heading into their conference tournaments, and some of them soon to be the NCAA Tournament with more wins to come.
