Jabari Walker might be the only Buff who made the All-Pac-12 First Team but Evan Battey is proving each and every game why he belonged on that elusive list. Even if Colorado is the number 4 team in the Pac-12 Evan should be there.

The Buffs took on the Oregon Ducks yesterday for a chance at another battle with the Wildcats today. Colorado was off to a pretty slow start until Battey came alive with a three-pointer and put a spark back in the offense. From there on out he was the man of the night leading the Buffs to their 21rst victory of the year.

Battey had 2 three-point shots an unexpected feature in the big man. Not many people expect him to make those kinds of shots, that is an added secret weapon for Colorado going forward. He was 6-15 from the field and the leading scorer of the game for them with 19. Securing his first double-double of the season.

Here is what Twitter world was saying about the Mayor of Boulder:

Beautifully spoken by Colorado’s women’s basketball head coach JR Payne. No truer words spoken.

We all do!

Now Colorado goes on to take on the top seeded Arizona Wildcats again. The Buffs have proven they can beat them, and with the ongoing emergence of Evan Battey they have a huge shot again. CU will need to beat Arizona again if they have any shot on getting to the NCAA Tournament. Today is the first step to shocking the world. Can they do it again? Find out when tip off beings at 9:00 p.m. EST time on the Pac-12 Network. Come watch the dynamic duo of Evan Battey and Jabari Walker throw down and prove why they belong atop of the Pac-12, and at shot at the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
