Jabari Walker might be the only Buff who made the All-Pac-12 First Team but Evan Battey is proving each and every game why he belonged on that elusive list. Even if Colorado is the number 4 team in the Pac-12 Evan should be there.
The Buffs took on the Oregon Ducks yesterday for a chance at another battle with the Wildcats today. Colorado was off to a pretty slow start until Battey came alive with a three-pointer and put a spark back in the offense. From there on out he was the man of the night leading the Buffs to their 21rst victory of the year.
Battey had 2 three-point shots an unexpected feature in the big man. Not many people expect him to make those kinds of shots, that is an added secret weapon for Colorado going forward. He was 6-15 from the field and the leading scorer of the game for them with 19. Securing his first double-double of the season.
Here is what Twitter world was saying about the Mayor of Boulder:
Evan is a great Player...but nothing compares to the PERSON that he is! Thank you @EBduece1 for WHO you are!! We are Blessed to know you! 💛🖤 https://t.co/Vyqk0ChpaW

Beautifully spoken by Colorado’s women’s basketball head coach JR Payne. No truer words spoken.
Evan Battey with 19 points, 10 rebounds for Buffs, his first double-double of the season.

Evan Battey laughs and messes around the court like he’s the subject of a Druski video 😂😂

Oregon is sent packing thanks to a dominant performance by Jabari Walker (18 pts/16 rebs) and Evan Battey (19 pts/12 rebs). KJ Simpson (13-7-6, 2 steals) was massive as well. If the Buffs like this tomorrow they have a shot at beating Arizona for sure.

If I were a G League GM, I would kill to have Evan Battey on my training camp roster
