Peanut Tuitele bids a beautiful farewell to a fabulous career at CU. She has decided to spend her last year of eligibility elsewhere from Boulder. However, we will never forget the impact and light she has had for Colorado Basketball.

While she may be spending her very last year in a different uniform she will always be a forever Buff and Buff for life. Tuitele started all 31 games for Colorado and you will be very hard pressed to find a more reliable and tenacious player.

She will miss all the bonds and friendships she’s acquired here at Colorado but knows she’s leaving the program in great hands. Her, along with several other players and head coach Payne have brought this program back to the forefront of the highest level of collegiate women’s basketball. Peanut was a big part of that success and huge reason why the Buffs are back.

Throughout her career in Boulder she always maintained a consistent average. From 2019-2022 she scored 644 career points. 391 rebounds, 91 assists, and 101 turnovers. She added 60 blocks and 66 steals to boot. Her three-point field goal percentage went up substantially since her senior year. Improving year in and year out she’s an athlete you want on the court always, and Boulder was lucky to have her as long as they did.

I for one always found her a powerhouse on the floor. She was very confident the Buffs could get back to the NCAA tournament, and she was right. Tuitele believed in this years team 100 percent and has always been ap layer who plays through pain and adversity day in and day out. To be somebody her team can count on always. Head coach JR Payne said she was everything and more that they wanted when she was recruited. We all wish her nothing but the best and tip our hats in gratitude for all she has done. Wherever you land we will cheer you on always as a Buff for life.
