Colorado Buffaloes: For the first time ever fans can take part in naming Ralphie VI

For the first time in Colorado Buffaloes history fans can now take part in naming “Baby Ralph”. Ralphie first came on to the stage in 1967. Each buffalo has since carried on the name of Ralphie along with a personal nickname for them. To suit their personalities. For the first time ever fans get to take part in naming Ralphie VI. Now it is left up to the fans to decide which personality fits her best.

Here are the names that the Colorado faithful can choose from:

Ember– Because of her fiery personality and love for the crowd.

Sixer– Because she is the 6th mascot to represent the University of Colorado.

Blitz– For her obvious fast speed and the way she blitzes back to the trailer once she sees it.

Tini– For being the smallest buffalo. She weights in at 400 pounds and has been known as Baby Ralphie.

Each dollar counted for tally’s as one vote for your name of choice. The donations go straight to the care, feed, transportation, and all supplies that Ralphie will need by her handlers and coaches. As for right now Ember is in the lead with of 4,000 votes. 9,769 dollars have been raised in donations so far. Keep donating Buff Nation!

Previous Ralphie names were Moon, Tequila, Rowdy and of course Blackout. Ralphie has always been one of the most iconic mascots of college football, and has been for the last 56 years. There is nothing like the pure rush of exhilaration and excitement when her and her handlers rush out onto the field. The beauty that is Folsom Field and Boulder make it even more adrenaline pumping.

After Blackout was headed off to retirement Ralphie VI was born in Nebraska in May. Later rejected by her mother. Now looking to run onto Folsom Field in 2022 with a new name, one’s the fans can be proud of for giving it to her. Run Ralphie Run.
