At no point did Arkansas’ Sam Pittman ever comment on Colorado football moving to the Big 12, but that didn’t stop a Youtuber that wasn’t and won’t be given a platform from commenting on it — and it certainly didn’t stop Best of Arkansas Sports’ Eric Bolin from simultaneously ripping the bizarre fake report and taking a shot at the Buffs.

“The ranter in question claims, according to “reports,” that Arkansas – and I quote – ‘is VERY UPSET’ that Deion Sanders and Colorado are leaving the Pac-12 for the Big 12,” Bolin wrote. “Pittman has made no comment whatsoever on Colorado’s move. And why should he? The Big 12 isn’t the SEC. It’s the SEC’s little brother. Colorado isn’t a winning program, either. The Buffs have had a total of one winning season since 2005 (not including the shortened 2020 campaign) and isn’t exactly a favorite to break into the College Football Playoffs any time soon according to betting online on 1xBet site.”

Sure, Deion Sanders will be encroaching on Pittman’s primary recruiting territory, the south, due to the natural pursuit of the top talent in the country, which tends to be in the Florida, Georgia, and Texas regions, in addition to California, which Colorado is already dug into. But Pittman is in the SEC. He’s already dealing with Nick Saban and Kirby Smart. Coach Prime is a blip on his radar until his Buffs prove something on the field.

Deion Sanders grateful to Rick George for offering Colorado football coaching job

Coach Prime told all his Colorado football players on the opening day of the Buffaloes’ fall camp that they wouldn’t be here without the head coaching opportunity offered to him by Colorado AD Rick George (h/t Footballscoop).

“Multiple people came to visit me and wanted my coaching prowess,” Sanders prefaced before saying, “But this man (Rick George), there was something about him. Something about that thing that was on the inside of him that I connected with. Lo and behold, you all are here because of the opportunity that this man gave me.”

Sanders is about to embark with severe personnel turnover on a historic campaign; one many ADs might not have been willing to take part in considering the conference realignment negotiations that have been taking place in recent weeks. George gave him the runway for something that could be wildly successful, a dumpster fire, or anything in between.
