Colorado State vs Colorado: How to watch, odds, and injuries for Week 3
College football’s annual Rocky Mountain Showdown, the Colorado State vs Colorado Centennial State rivalry, will be on the map more so than ever in 2023 in Week 3 — though that is the fault of one man: Coach Prime.
Deion Sanders has made an expected one-sided matchup must-see T.V., and for ESPN, he’s made Boulder the go-to spot for a matchup between a program playing its final season in the Pac-12 and a Mountain West team.
College GameDay will be in Northern Colorado, but will you be watching what takes place between Coach Prime’s Buffs and the reeling but well-rested Rams from Colorado State that lost by 26 in their opening week contest against Wazzu before a Week 2 bye?

Colorado State vs Colorado injury report
Colorado has two players with a questionable designation: safety Myles Slusher, whose injury was not disclosed in Week 2 against Nebraska during a DNP, and wideout Javon Antonio, who was out with a shoulder injury. Houston transfer Alton McCaskill IV, who has been recovering from an ACL tear and hasn’t yet appeared this season, is likely to make his debut against the Rams per Lines.com.
As for Colorado State, the only question mark is Clay Millen, who left against Wazzu on September 2 with an unspecified injury. Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi took over for Millen and outgained him in short order, so even if Millen is healthy, he may not have his same starting spot.
Colorado State vs Colorado odds
The point spread for Week 3 has Colorado as a -23.5-favorite. Colorado State is a +950 underdog on the moneyline, while Colorado is a -2000 favorite. The over/under is set at 60.5, meaning that the oddsmakers are expecting a high-scoring affair. All lines are courtesy of BetMGM and are subject to change.
Colorado State vs Colorado Prediction and Pick
In a previous prediction piece, I predicted an easy cover for the Buffs.
“Good teams win,” I prefaced before saying, “Great teams cover. Coach Prime has had his Buffs ready for both challenges through the first two weeks of the season, but the biggest challenge Week 3 presents is internal: motivation. If Colorado isn’t motivated to put on a show, then the Rams will be in a good position to cover.
“Slim chance Sanders’ squad comes out flat like that. Lay the points.”
