Colorado State receiver disrespects Coach Prime with ‘Deion Shuffle’
Colorado State receiver Louis Brown IV did what his teammate Ron Hardge III only teased: he did the “Deion Shuffle” after scoring a touchdown against Coach Prime and his Buffaloes in Week 3’s Rocky Mountain Showdown.
In what can only be described as the living embodiment of CSU’s shocking 21-14 first-half lead against Colorado, Brown caught his first touchdown pass of the season from Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, who took over the starting job from Clay Millen back in Week 1 against Wazzu, in the second half to give the Rams a shocking lead.
As four-score underdogs, Colorado State marched into Boulder and showed no fear. Their head coach, Jay Norvell, certainly showed no fear all week poking the bear; and perhaps rattling Coach Prime and his players in the process.
Coach Prime made Colorado-Colorado State ‘an event’: Analyst
Never before has the Rocky Mountain Showdown been a national event like it was in 2023. FOX Sports analyst John Fanta gave props to Coach Prime for making Colorado-Colorado State “an event.”
“I love Deion. All in on Coach Prime,” Fanta prefaced before saying, “It’s a refreshing, fun and energetic story in college football. He is overly compelling. I think the guy is perfect for CFB right now. Love everything about it. Never has a Colorado St / Colorado game been an EVENT. He made it that!”
Credit Norvell for being the perfect foil for Deion Sanders in a matchup that became personal when the Rams coach took aim at the “Prime Time” aesthetic of the former two-sport All-Star.
