Coach Prime’s oldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., didn’t want any part in the BSS Buffs account believing Colorado would finish the season 4-3. Losses to Oregon State, Wazzu, and Utah were predicted alongside wins against Arizona State, Stanford, UCLA, and Arizona.

“Y’all trippin… change y’all name if y’all on that type of s***,” Sanders said in a quote post of the prediction — one that caused the account to humorously reverse course and post an updated 7-0 finish to the season. That was attached to a statement from the account about trying to be objective.

“Being labeled a hater for predicting an 8-4 finish is kind of wild tho,” BSS Colorado prefaced before saying, “Of course we all hope we’ll win out, was just trying to be somewhat objective.”

Coach Prime’s Buffs could have issues against high-powered Wazzu and Oregon State offenses

The two teams that deserve the most respect from the likes of Coach Prime’s oldest son and Buffs fans alike are the Pac-2: Oregon State and Wazzu. With just one loss in the bunch, a narrow OSU loss in Pullman that came down to the final minutes, the two teams left out of conference realignment musical chairs have the most menacing offenses for a Colorado defense that has given up an average of 45 points in conference play.

On one hand, the very obvious caveat of having played Oregon and USC, two of the most legitimate contenders in the Pac-12 (along with Washington) is present. On the other, though, TCU and Colorado State were both able to put up 42 and 35 points on the board against the Buffs’ defense, respectively, with Shilo Sanders fully healthy for both contests and Travis Hunter available for all of the former matchup and a quarter of the latter; of which 14 points were already scored by the Rams.

The defense could progress under Charles Kelly to the point that CU will be stouter on that side of the ball come November, but there’s plenty of reason to worry about Oregon State’s DJ Uiagalelei and Wazzu’s Cameron Ward and what they may be able to accomplish when the former comes to Boulder on November 4 and the latter hosts Coach Prime and Co. at Martin Stadium on November 17.
