Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold could soon force comparisons to two-way Colorado football star Travis Hunter according to On3’s Nick Schultz — who acknowledged that Iowa’s Cooper DeJean may have already inspired that conversation in Iowa City.

“As Travis Hunter dazzled in the early part of the year as a two-way sensation for Colorado, the question became who else could do something similar,” Schultz prefaced before saying, “The conversation apparently happened at Iowa with Cooper DeJean, and if Terrion Arnold has his way, they’ll talk about it at Alabama.”

Arnold feels as though he’s the most dynamic player on the Buffs with the ball in his hands, something most would agree with about Hunter at Colorado; and if you threw just about every other program in the country in the equation as well.

‘I tell Coach Saban, I was like, ‘Man, Coach, I feel like I’m the most dynamic player on the team with the ball in my hands, if we’re being honest,'” Arnold said. “But you’ve got to think about it how he sees it. He’s a defensive specialist. As they would say, you’ve got a lot of guys that are 6-foot-1, 6-foot-2, 190 pounds who can play receiver. You don’t have many guys who can line up and stop those kinds of guys.”

Coach Prime revealed Travis Hunter was cleared to play for Colorado football

Hunter didn’t get a chance to show off his game against Oregon and USC, the two toughest games on the Colorado football schedule based on preseason projections, as well as ASU in Week 6, due to a lacerated liver caused by a dirty hit by Colorado State DB Henry Blackburn on September 16. But the two-way star was cleared as of October 9 per Coach Prime.

“He’s cleared and he has protection on to secure those areas, but the game is the game,” Sanders said (h/t ESPN). “The game is a violent game, it’s a vicious game, it’s a very physical game, but Travis is also physical.”

While ascending stars like Cormani McClain and Omarion Miller stepped up in his absence, Hunter’s return raises CU’s ceiling back to, at worst, undefined. The Buffs are undefeated in games he’s played after all.
