Twitter in awe of top Colorado star on opening drive vs Stanford
Twitter was in awe of Coach Prime’s star Colorado football son, Shedeur, during the Buffs’ opening drive against Stanford in a Week 7 Friday matchup on October 13 — a drive in which he amassed 72 all-purpose yards, 44 of them on the ground, and a passing touchdown to Xavier Weaver.
“Shedeur Sanders figured out (that) using his legs opens everything else up….it’s a wrap now,” one poster said.
“Shedeur Sanders is having an Andrew Luck type season,” another poster wrote. “He really is that good. I’ve heard multiple people say that he might be the best quarterback in America just because of how he can make something out of nothing.”
“Stanford is going to have a very long night if its defense is just going to let Shedeur Sanders run around and make plays throughout the game,” tweeted another.
“See what happens when Shedeur Sanders actually run the ball when he should… much better offensive drives,” said another dual-threat Shedeur truther.
‘It’s okay’ to say makeover is impressive for Colorado football because of Shedeur Sanders and historic transfer portal haul
Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde noted what Sanders and his fellow transfer portal additions for the Buffs during a historic overnight roster rebuild have been able to accomplish is “compelling and impressive.”
“Colorado was 1-11 last year,” Forde prefaced before saying, “Shedeur Sanders was the QB at Jackson State. It’s OK to say that this makeover is compelling and impressive.”
After three straight weeks of losing or barely winning when favored big, CU’s first drive against Stanford was downright inspiring.
