Sixth-year Colorado football transfer Jordan Domineck is “making the most of his time in Boulder” — currently on pace to set career highs in every major statistical category — according to Rivals’ Adam Gorney.

“A three-star defensive end in the 2018 class who first played at Georgia Tech and then Arkansas before transferring to Colorado, Domineck is making the most of his time in Boulder as he leads the team in tackles for loss with 7.5 along with a team-high three sacks,” Gorney prefaced before saying, “He was ranked as a three-star and No. 191 overall in the transfer portal rankings.”

Domineck, a former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket and Arkansas Razorback, redshirted his initial season in Atlanta and had the COVID-19-stricken 2020 season allow him an extra year of eligibility.

Noticeably, Gorney didn’t have any love for Shilo Sanders, writing out his stats plainly with no comment like he had with Domineck, who “is making the most of his time in Boulder,” and the recently-returned Travis Hunter; who he similarly fawned over.

“Ranked as the No. 1 overall transfer heading into this season, the top-ranked prospect in the 2022 recruiting class has been predictably spectacular for the Buffaloes,” Gorney prefaced before saying, “Hunter has 14 tackles, an interception and two pass breakups in four games, missing two with a lacerated liver he sustained on a cheap shot against Colorado State. The two-way star is also third on the team with 29 catches for 353 yards and two touchdowns.”

While it’s true that Sanders doesn’t always take the best routes to tackles, he’s unquestionably been a leader on the defensive side of the ball and deserved a positive comment to support the stated facts from Gorney relaying Shilo’s tackle lead with fellow safety Trevor Woods through Week 8 of the 2023 season.
