Fiesta Bowl (1-2)

1993: Syracuse 26 Colorado 22

1995: Colorado 41 Notre Dame 24

Colorado and Notre Dame had their battles at the start of the 90s, so this matchup on New Year’s Day 1995 was a nice reunion for Bill McCartney and Lou Holtz. Thought this one didn’t come with national championship stakes.

Colorado was ranked fourth coming in with a record of 10-1 while Notre Dame was unranked at 6-4-1. The Buffaloes jumped out to a 10-3 first-quarter lead and then added three touchdowns in the second quarter to pull away.

Kordell Stewart was named the MVP of the game with 348 yards of total offense.
