Colorado quarterback Bobby Anderson was named the game’s MVP as Eddie Crowder won his first bowl game as head coach of the Buffaloes.
1971: Colorado 29 Houston 17
This win marked the first double-digit win season in Colorado history. This was the third and final bowl game win of Eddie Crowder’s tenure which lasted from 1963-1973. Crowder took the Buffs to four straight bowl games from 1969-1972.
