Colorado football career rushing leader No. 7: Hugh Charles 2004-2007

  • 2,795 rushing yards
  • 16 rushing touchdowns
  • 5.1 yards per rush

Gary Barnett went north of the border to find talent for his backfield. Hugh Charles is what he came back with. The Canadian-born running back ultimately flourished most under Dan Hawkins who replaced Barnett in Boulder.

Charles finished top 10 in rushing in the Big 12 three times and his senior season was his best. Charles ran for 1,058 yards and eight touchdowns that season.
