Colorado football career rushing leader No. 3: Rodney Stewart 2008-2011

  • 3,598 rushing yards
  • 25 rushing touchdowns
  • 4.4 yards per rush

As a freshman, Rodney Stewart played a prominent role in the Buffaloes backfield, rushing for 622 yards on 132 carries in 2008. As his career advanced, he got more involved in the passing game, especially in 2010.

Stewart ran for 1,318 yards as a junior in 2010, but he also caught 29 passes for 290 yards, finishing with a career-high 1,608 scrimmage yards. The next year he ran for 854 yards and had 571 yards through the air.

He signed with the Bengals in the NFL as an undrafted free agent but tore his ACL in training camp.
