Colorado football career passing leader No. 8: Mike Moschetti (1998-99)

  • 4,797 passing yards
  • 33 passing touchdowns
  • 60.3% completion
  • 7.9 yards per attempt

1998 was Rick Neuheisel’s final season before departing for Washington. That season, Moschetti was his quarterback and had a big first season. He threw for 2,104 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Buffs went 8-4 and Gary Barnett took over as head coach the next season, keeping Moschetti as his starter.

Again, Moschetti eclipsed 2,000 yards passing with an even better season. In ’99 he completed 61.6% of his passes which was 10th highest in the country. He was third in the Big 12 in passing yardage with 2,693 yards.
