Colorado football career passing leader No. 6: Tyler Hansen (2008-11)
- 5,705 passing yards
- 35 passing touchdowns
- 58.0% completion
- 6.5 yards per attempt
Colorado football under Dan Hawkins at the end of the first decade of the 2000s is not something Buffs fans remember fondly. Colorado went 5-7, 3-9, and 5-7 in his final three years. Hansen was the quarterback for most of those games and played the most in 2011 under new head coach, Jon Embree in a 3-10 year.
Hawkins threw for 2,883 yards in those 13 games with 20 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He was fifth in the Pac-12 in pass attempts on a team without much talent, so completing 56.1% of his passes like he did that year was an accomplishment.
