Colorado football career passing leader No. 3: Cody Hawkins (2007-10)

  • 7,731 passing yards
  • 63 passing touchdowns
  • 55.1% completion
  • 6.2 yards per attempt

The end of the Dan Hawkins era at Colorado was just as disastrous as the start, but Hawkins was able to put up big numbers through it all. In the Buffaloes’ last four seasons in the Big 12, Hawkins took advantage of Big 12 defenses.

His best year was his freshman season when he threw for 3,015 yards on 463 pass attempts, which was still only fourth in the pass-happy Big 12. He threw 22 touchdowns but turned the ball over 17 times that year.

Hawkins never threw for 2,000 yards in a season after his freshman year. He is now the head coach football coach at Idaho State.
