Coach Prime feels a “reciprocal” respect for marquee Colorado football Class of 2025 quarterback recruit Antwann Hill Jr. according to BuffsBeat’s J’Mar Smith — who labeled the respect as such in the wake of major expectations set on Hill by Deion Sanders during a UCLA game week press conference.
“The four-star quarterback out of Warner Robins, GA, has been a top recruit for many colleges, but Colorado stood out above the rest,” Smith prefaced before saying, “The feeling is quite reciprocal, with Deion Sanders giving him a shout-out in this week’s press conference saying he was ‘going to change the game.'”
Hill chose the Buffs over teams that have won most of the championships over the past decade: Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, and Florida State. The Houston County product’s decision marks a new era in Boulder, where Colorado is a national player for the first time in nearly three decades.

When Colorado football commit Antwann Hill Jr. knew he wanted to be a Buff
Hill revealed the exact moment he saw a future at the University of Colorado: Week 1 when the Buffs not only hung toe-to-toe with the defending College Football Playoff runner-up but ultimately one the game.
“In the first game against TCU, that was everybody’s chance to see how they were going to do,” Hill prefaced before saying, “I would have been satisfied with them, even if they had lost, but as long as it was a close game and I liked what I saw on offense, but, they ended up winning. That’s when it clicked in my head, that offense, they’re explosive, and I could see myself playing in it. When I saw how many yards Shedeur threw for and the concept and the schemes they were running. I really love what I saw from that game.”
Hill will now be the one under center battling TCU in future Big 12 conference games. Sometimes you just to have a vision.
Coach Prime and Hill have the same vision: the Warner Robins star successfully bringing his act to Boulder and bringing the Buffs to heights even Shedeur Sanders may not get to this year and next.
