Star Colorado flip continues to be conspicuous by his absence
Star Colorado football flip Cormani McClain continued to be conspicuous by his absence during a 28-16 loss to UCLA, the third straight DNP for the former Miami commit. Social media was set ablaze during CU’s defensive struggles against a Bruins attack that had the offensive line running backs seeing little resistance at the line of scrimmage and Ethan Garbers having little problems — one of those problems, though, being Travis Hunter’s ball-hawking — dicing up a McClain-less secondary.
“(Travis Hunter) is truly special.. once Cormani McClain stops being so immature, they’ll have the best 2 corners in the nation,” said one X poster in awe of Hunter’s second interception along the sideline on an out route along the sideline.
“I respect (Coach Prime) but (Carter Stoutmire’s) not better than Cormani McClain,” said another who was confused by the No. 1 cornerback’s presence on the bench.
“Deion, not playing Cormani McClain is ridiculous,” said one poster to Coach Prime, whose team features someone who likely saw this tweet.
“Cormani McClain will be hitting the portal,” one poster prefaced before saying, “Thats a 100% guarantee.”
Miami-to-Colorado football flip Cormani McClain’s name evoked as another Miami recruit de-commits
Miami fans still have bad blood for McClain for U-turning away from The U out west to Boulder, evoking his name after 5-star Miami Central DE Armondo Blount chose to flip to the Noles from the Canes.
“Everyone wants their clicks and their clout,” one poster prefaced before saying, “Exhibit A Cormani McClain.”
“Sounds like a moron,” another said of Blount before saying, “Cormani Mcclain 2.0.”
Should the dissension continue between Coach Prime and McClain, you have to wonder if Colorado fans could soon have these emotions for the Lakeland star. The transfer portal tends to be a popular place for players whose work ethics Deion Sanders doesn’t appreciate.
McClain could be tempted to enter it at his and the CU coaching staff’s current trajectory.
