On3’s Josh Newberg is bullish on the Colorado football program’s chances of landing their top offensive tackle target, Jordan Seaton — leaving a not-so-cryptic message upon hearing the IMG Academy star would be visiting Boulder on November 4 for his second official visit.
“It’s happening…” wrote Newberg.
Buffaloes Wire’s Tony Cosolo believes a competitive showing for Colorado against a No. 16-ranked Oregon State will “go a long way” for a potential Buffs commitment for the Class of 2024’s No. 30 recruit overall.
“Seaton has already been at Folsom Field once this year as he took an unofficial visit for the Buffs’ Week 3 game against Colorado State,” Cosolo prefaced before saying, “If Colorado can compete against the Beavers, it will go a long way toward potentially landing his commitment.”
Coach Prime promised an overhaul of the Colorado football offensive line
Seaton could be the first step in Coach Prime’s plan to overhaul the offensive line; a plan he revealed in the postgame presser of Colorado’s 28-16 loss to UCLA at the Rose Bowl on October 28.
“The big picture, you go get new linemen,” Deion Sanders said during the Week 9 postgame presser (h/t USA Today). “That’s the picture, and I’m gonna paint if perfectly.
“I’m a little biased because I’m his father, but I think we have the best quarterback in the country. I don’t think any other quarterback can put up with, stand and deliver like ours do, week in and week out and take in the beating that he’s taken. We’ve got to address that.”
It’s hard not to believe Coach Prime when he promises change considering the 86 new faces he brought to Boulder via the transfer portal and several late flips and commitments for the Class of 2023.
Seaton is a great pillar to start with in rebuilding one of the most critical position groups in football.
