Pac-12 QB rankings No. 5: DJ Uiagalelei

  • Passing yards: 2,014
  • TD: 18 INT: 4
  • Comp: 58.3%
  • YPA: 8.8

It was hard for me to have DJ this low. He was not good at Clemson and that’s all a lot of people remember, but he’s really figured it out in Corvallis. DJ is fifth in the Pac-12 in QBR at 81.4, just behind Noah Fifita. In terms of expected points added, he is fourth and second among Pac-12 QBs in rushing EPA.

He’s a big, physical quarterback who protects the ball, throws deep, and uses his legs when he needs to. I’d take a guy like that any day. In his final year at Clemson, 16.8% of his passes were over 20 yards and now that is up to 20.1%. He’s completing 50% of those throws with an adjusted completion rate of 54.3% which is third in the conference.

His weakness is throwing to the intermediate part of the field. 30.1% of his passes are between 10-19 yards downfield and he has a 56.5% completion rate and 58% adjusted completion which ranks 12th.
