Colorado football de-commit Antwann Hill Jr., a four-star quarterback from Warner Robbins, Georgia, is going to aim to visit only one school during the month of December: ACC championship finalist Louisville.

“Hill’s other interests lie with Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU, Louisville, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Alabama, and Ole Miss,” The New York Post’s Bridget Riley prefaced before saying, “He holds a total of 30 offers and prefers to explore those options before making another commitment to a school.

“The quarterback from Warner Robins, Georgia, said to ESPN that he will try to visit Louisville in December, but he doesn’t have any other specific trips planned to the other schools yet.”

Colorado football de-commit Antwann Hill explains his decision

Hill still has Colorado in mind, but he revealed the reasoning for his de-commitment from the Buffs; the third such in the last few weeks with Talan Chandler’s Mizzou flip and Winston Watkin Jr.’s own de-commitment.

“Colorado is still a top priority for me,” Hill told ESPN before explaining, “I really just want to take the process slower and make sure I’m making the right decision for me and my family at the end of the day. I’m going to get back out there on the market and make the right decision.”

The white-pill possibility for Buffs fans in the wake of Hill’s de-commitment is Bryce Underwood choosing Coach Prime and Co., but it’s hard not to see all of these de-commitments and think that there is a high school recruiting problem in Boulder.

Coach Prime is evidently rolling the dice in the transfer portal this offseason in hopes he can make a winner out of CU in his sons Shilo and Shedeur’s final seasons in 2024.

That certainly doesn’t sound like a long-term strategy for someone with hopes of staying in Boulder for the long haul — but maybe Sanders has other recruits in mind he prefers at their positions.

Or maybe his rapid transfer portal rebuilds are going to become a regular thing that works in Colorado. Crazier things have happened than one of the most recognizable names in the sport having highly sought-after kids sign on the dotted line year after year.
