Had Shedeur Sanders been behind Oregon’s offensive line like Bo Nix was, instead of the Power Five’s worst offensive line, Coach Prime’s Colorado football program’s, BuffZone’s Brian Howell feels No. 2 would’ve had even more eye-popping numbers than his 3,200+-yard, 27-touchdown, three-interception output in 2023.

“Looking at Bo Nix’s stats and this jumped out at me: Nix was sacked 10 times in his 2 seasons combined at Oregon,” Howell prefaced before saying, “Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders was sacked 11 times in November (in only 2 1/2 games). Shedeur’s stats would be insane if he had the protection Nix got at Oregon.”

Of course, Howell’s take got pushback from those who believe it’s not just the offensive line’s fault alone for why Shedeur didn’t see the success Nix did.

“Bo Nix’s average time holding the ball is two seconds,” one poster prefaced before saying, “Sanders holds the ball three seconds on average before throwing. That’s literally worth a few sacks a game right there. It’s not just the O line. Keep trying though.”

Analyst feels Shedeur Sanders could be a hit for Dallas Cowboys fans if QB left Colorado football, declared for NFL draft

A video from Well Off Media released on November 30 showed Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones tell Shedeur during a Thanksgiving day visit to AT&T Stadium for Cowboys-Commanders that he could be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft if he were to declare.

In response, BuffsBeat’s Josh Tolle called Shedeur a potential hit with Cowboys fans if Dallas was ever on the clock with Coach Prime’s youngest son available.

“Jones is always looking for the next big talent and having the ‘Grown’ QB back in Dallas would definitely be a hit for the fans,” Tolle wrote of Shedeur making a return to the Metroplex, where he played high school football at Trinity Christian.

While Deion Sanders coaching the Cowboys is a non-starter, perhaps one of his sons ending up in Dallas is on the table.
