After losing their last two non-conference games in disappointing fashion, Colorado won its first conference game on the road in Tempe on Saturday.

The Buffs will play host to Utah, which is looking to bounce back after a tough performance against Arizona.

3 keys for Colorado to start 2-0 in Big 12 play

Try and limit Terrence Brown & Don McHenry

Averaging 21.8 and 18.1 points per game, these two players account for nearly half of Utah’s offensive production.

In terms of three point shooting, Henry is more of a three point assassin, averaging 6.2 threes and knocking down 42.5% of them.

Brown has scored in double figures in 13 of the 14 games this season, including 26 in the loss to Arizona

Colorado will stand a good chance if they can keep these two below their averages.

Good things happen with the ball in Isaiah Johnson’s hands

The freshman guard from Colorado is very good at driving to the basket and drawing contact.

In Colorado's 95-89 win over Arizona State on Saturday, we witnessed this first hand.

With a near perfect 7-for-8 performance from the free throw line, Johnson helped Colorado earn its first conference victory of the season.

His impact off the bench plays a significant role in Colorado's success.

Use home court to their advantage

As Colorado experienced first-hand Saturday in Tempe, the game can change in the blink of an eye due to home court advantage.

An Arizona State run of 10-0 quickly erased Colorado's 14-point lead as the crowd found themselves back into it.

So far this season, Colorado hasn't had great fan attendance, so it will be important for them to show up and support a team that is playing well.

A bounce back game from freshman Alon Michaeli would also be welcome for Colorado.

In addition to going 0-for-8 from the field, he also went 0-for-4 from long distance, while scoring all six of his points at the line.
