Colorado improved to 10-1 on the season Wednesday night after taking a down Portland State at home, 84-73.

Here are three takeaways from Colorado's win.

Isaiah Johnson is the real deal

The aggressive nature of Colorado's true freshman and his ability to find teammates have made him a pleasure to watch.

Johnson scored a team-high 20 points on 4-of-10 shooting, including two rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Johnson's best attribute so far in the season has been his ability to draw contact and get to the line. Colorado's guard went 11-of-11 from the line, while the team as a whole shot 22-of-26.

No fans (for the most part), no problem

Colorado's game was closed to the public due to high winds, potential power outages, and dangerous road conditions in Boulder.

The game had a weird feeling early on as you could hear Portland State's bench very vocal from the start. It didn't feel like a home game because of the lack of atmosphere, which led to a slow start for Colorado.

Besides Colorado athletes, only coaches, media personnel, and family members attended.

Portland State is going to be solid in the Big Sky

You can't help but be impressed with the way Jaylin Henderson played. I don't even think he subbed out of Wednesday night's contest.

Henderson scored a game-high 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting, making his only three pointer of the game. The senior guard added six rebounds, four assists, and four steals to his credit.

Terri Miller Jr. was also impressive. The senior forward also contributed 16 points, shooting 6-of-12 from the field, but his only downfall was six turnovers.

The Portland State squad under head coach Jase Coburn is a solid one and should make things interesting in the Big Sky Conference this year.

Worth noting, Barrington Hargress has been very solid since joining the Buffs. The transfer from UC Riverside added 15 points tonight on 6-of-9 shooting, adding six assists and three steals.
