Arizona ruined Colorado's senior night with a dominant second-half performance, securing a program-record number of regular-season victories.

Colorado brought great energy in the first half, building a lead as large as 11 before Arizona responded with a 9-0 run late in the period.

Koa Peat was a one-man show in the first half, scoring 19 points, most of them coming on easy looks in the paint. Colorado never found an answer for him all night.

Three takeaways from Colorado's 89-79 loss to Arizona

1. Isaiah Johnson makes Colorado history

Colorado's freshman made history Saturday night, surpassing Alec Burks' mark for most points scored by a Colorado freshman (501) in a season.

Johnson had a team-high 15 points at halftime and finished the game with 28 points, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Johnson finishes the regular season averaging a team-high 16.6 points on 49.3 percent shooting.

2. Koa Peat and Brayden Burries took over for the Wildcats

Arizona's freshman duo combined for 56 of Arizona's 89 points and led a 53-39 second-half charge to take down the Buffs.

Burries went a near-perfect 11-for-12 from the line, sealing the game late to send Arizona into the Big 12 Tournament on a six-game winning streak. He scored 22 of his 31 points in the second half.

Peat went 12-of-15 from the field while adding three rebounds, four assists, and one block.

3. Colorado needs front-court help, desperately

Elijah Malone started and played heavy minutes on Senior Night as the lone senior on the team, and he was honored before the game.

However, Colorado's frontcourt as currently assembled isn't good enough to take down a team like Arizona, which dominated the paint and outscored Colorado 54-26 in that area.

While it's not necessarily a blueprint Colorado has to follow moving forward, Arizona generated plenty of good looks and high-percentage shots in the post, which helped them secure the road victory.
