The hype train for Shedeur Sanders to the New York Giants just got some more fuel. ESPN’s Adam Schefter made it clear on The Pat McAfee Show that he believes the Giants could take the Colorado quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick. And honestly, it makes too much sense.

The Giants have been searching for stability at quarterback for what feels like forever. After the Daniel Jones experiment crashed and burned, New York is bringing in veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to plug the gap. This sounds like the team is planning to have two established veterans mentor a rookie quarterback.

The Giants have been linked to Sanders for months. They’ve done their homework on him, spending time in Boulder and watching him light up the Big 12. Remember, Shedeur was the most efficient passer in the conference last season with

Plus, there’s the undeniable connection between the Sanders family and the Big Apple. Shedeur was rocking custom Giants cleats before the Alamo Bowl and was seen chatting with New York’s top rookie receiver Malik Nabers at the Heisman ceremony. The family may be denying they are hoping to be drafter by New York, but it definitely seems like that's where he wants to go.

The New York Giants' decision to sign Russell Wilson has certainly stirred up conversations, but having a veteran like Wilson and Jameis Winston in the building might be the perfect situation for a rookie quarterback.

If Schefter is right (and he usually is), Shedeur Sanders could be the next face of the New York Giants.
