Terrance Love, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound safety from Auburn, is set to visit Colorado this weekend as the Buffs will roll out the red carpet for many recruits and transfers during Saturday’s Black & Gold game. With fans expected to pack Folsom Field and the spotlight on the future of the program, Love’s visit couldn’t be better timed.
Love was a blue-chip recruit out of Georgia in the class of 2023, and while he never cracked the starting lineup at Auburn, he brings raw talent and SEC game experience. Over two seasons, he appeared in 22 games and earned SEC academic honors. He can hit, he’s rangy, and he’s got something to prove — which sounds a lot like the Buffaloes entire brand under Coach Prime.
The fit makes sense. Colorado is thin at safety after losing Shilo Sanders to the NFL and three others to the portal.
There’s also the pull of what’s happening in Boulder. The Buffs are coming off a 9-4 season, their best since 2016, and the energy around the program is real. Saturday’s spring game is more than just a scrimmage.
Unfortunately, for the third year in a row, it looks like the Black & Gold Spring game will have bad weather yet again. Let's hope Terrance Love knows we have over 300 days of sunshine in Boulder.
