Colorado football QB Kaidon Salter has once again been labeled the likely starting signal-caller for the 2024 season. Bleacher Report's David Kenyon called him a dynamic dual-threat while reaffirming that.

"The expectation is that Kaidon Salter, a transfer from Liberty, will be taking over for Shedeur in 2025. Salter is a dynamic dual-threat QB who guided the Flames to a Conference USA title and Fiesta Bowl appearance in 2023 before overseeing an 8-3 campaign this year," Kenyon wrote.

As for Salter's long-term replacement, 5-star Carrolton (GA) recruit Julian Lewis, Kenyon sees him as the "perceived" QB of the future.

" Thanks to a late charge, the Buffs grabbed a top-25 ranking for the 2025 recruiting cycle. The perceived QB of the future is Julian Lewis, a 4-star prospect rated 36th nationally who flipped from USC in November," Kenyon wrote.

Of course, plans presumably change for everyone if Deion Sanders himself isn't returning. That's been a popularly pushed narrative since he arrived in Boulder. Kenyon dismissed the possibility Coach Prime leaves before the start of the 2025 season.

"Shortly before he left Jackson State for CU, Deion Sanders said he had no plans of going anywhere. He recently said the same thing, amid rumors of potential interest from NFL teams. Best guess? Sanders is back in Boulder next season. Soon enough, we'll know for sure," Kenyon wrote.

2024 was much better than most anticipated for Colorado. 9-4 may be disappointing for a team that was once 8-2, but many believed Sanders would flame out and retire after a similar season to the 2023 campaign.

Sanders is likely to at least stay one more season at Colorado. Better jobs could open up next season, perhaps some in the SEC, and Coach Prime may be enticed to jump.

But there's been no link between Sanders and any opening this offseason. So the plan appears set under center with Sanders sticking around for the foreseeable future.
