Betting site trolls Shedeur Sanders criticism with Draft Day parody

As the NFL Draft countdown hits tonight, fans are getting one last laugh before things get serious.

A tweet from BetMGM—clearly parodying the 2014 movie Draft Day—joked that NFL teams were “losing faith” in Shedeur Sanders because none of his teammates showed up to his birthday party.

For those who remember the movie, it’s a nod to the fictional QB Bo Callahan’s draft stock plummeting after Kevin Costner's character (Browns GM Sonny Weaver Jr.) discovered that none of his Wisconsin teammates were at his 21st birthday, alluding to his egotistical and bad character.

It also didn't age well that his agent is P. Diddy—yikes.

If anything, this post is parodying how overanalyzed Shedeur’s draft process has become. From his confidence, to his car, to yesterday an NFL coach saying he's "entitled"—everyone’s got an opinion.

But Buffs fans? We’ve seen enough. We know the truth.

We've watched Shedeur ball out under pressure, take monster hits behind a shaky line, and still lead this team to a 9-win season in the Buffs’ first year in the Big 12.

Whoever drafts Shedeur Sanders tonight isn’t just getting a quarterback—they’re getting a culture-shifter, a leader, and one of the most media-savvy rookies the NFL has seen in years.

The post was still pretty funny, though.
