One anonymous NFL scout -- and it's understandable why this take would be kept anonymous -- believes LSU's Garrett Nussmeier is the 2025 NFL draft's best prospect at quarterback. Yup, better than Shedeur Sanders.

Bleacher Report included Shedeur in their headline even though the quote doesn't directly involve him. Along with Cam Ward, the "Grown QB" is the biggest snub at the position in the scout's absurd take.

"I do think he's the most talented," the veteran scout told Bruce Feldman of The Athletic. "If I were a GM, I would pick him over all these guys. He just needs to play a lot more. I think he's seeing things that he's never seen before. He's got 11 starts and it's starting to show. (Texas A&M coach Mike) Elko did some stuff to him, and he looks confused."

The comment is sacrilege at every point in history, but particularly so after Alabama forced two turnovers on Nussmeier and held him scoreless until garbage time.

USA Today has the correct opinion on Shedeur Sanders' place in the 2025 NFL draft

USA Today's Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz has, how else do we say it, a better opinion on where Shedeur falls in the 2025 NFL draft QB class: in the first round with Ward only.

"The uncertainty starts with the quarterbacks, with only two passers – Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward – truly establishing themselves as worthy of first-round consideration, while several other previous candidates – including Georgia's Carson Beck and Texas' Quinn Ewers – have seemingly faded a bit. A similar dynamic is in place for many other positions, with a shortage of surefire top-10 selections. And the top of the order still looks volatile, with 11 teams having either two or three wins," Middlehurst-Schwartz wrote.

Shedeur and Ward are the franchise cornerstones. Perhaps in the right systems, Nussmeier, Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, and Jalen Milroe could have good careers.
