It took only one half of his preseason debut, but Cleveland Browns fans have seen enough. They are ready for the team to move into the Shedeur Sanders era and name the former Colorado star the starting quarterback for the regular season.

Sanders got off to a bit of a rocky start, connecting on just three of his first seven passes for 19 yards, but he caught fire in the second quarter, going 8-of-11 for 84 yards and two touchdown passes, connecting twice with Kaden Davis in the endzone.

Sanders finished the first half of his preseason debut, going 11-of-18 for 103 yards and the two touchdown passes.

His first touchdown pass was rolling to his left and a pass he fit into the tightest of windows, showcasing his otherworldly accuracy. His second showcased his ability to identify the rush. He side-stepped a rushing defender and delivered a strike into the endzone.

Browns fans took to social media to shout from the rooftops their belief that Sanders should be the team's starting quarterback.

Browns fans have seen enough of Shedeur Sanders to believe he should be the starter

Joe Flacco is trending toward being the starter for the Browns, but why? You know what Flacco is at this point. Is he going to be good enough to lead Cleveland to the playoffs? Probably not. Is Sanders? Also, probably not, but prioritizing his development makes more sense if you aren't likely to be a playoff team anyway.

Some figured this was a setup for Sanders, throwing him out there with the Browns' backups against the Panthers' starters. If this was a setup, it was a complete failure by the Browns because Sanders flipped it on its head.

I can't figure out which of his two first-half touchdown passes was better. The first drifting to his left, he fit the ball in a window that a lot of quarterbacks wouldn't have seen. The second one, however, showed his pocket presence and the zip he could put on throws. A+ stuff.

It wasn't long ago that Jimmy Haslam seemed to be separating himself from the Sanders draft pick. I wonder if he's changing his tune after seeing that first half?

It's unlikely that Sanders will start Week 1. The Browns will likely go with Flacco to open the season, but I don't think this will be the last time Sanders starts this season.

Yeah, no. You really don't need to see the others. Flacco is over the hill, Kenny Pickett is a first-round bust, and Dillon Gabriel was never a better prospect than Sanders.

This is a fair point - obviously, Sanders has developed a rapport with the twos and threes in preseason, but if he's able to look this good with backups flanking him? Imagine what he could do throwing the ball to Jerry Jeudy.

That's a mystery, ain't it?
