Deion Sanders is setting the record straight—he’s not pulling an Eli Manning move with his son, Shedeur Sanders.

During an interview on The Skip Bayless Show, Coach Prime addressed speculation that he might try to control where Shedeur lands in next month’s NFL Draft. But Sanders made it clear: wherever Shedeur goes, he’ll be happy.

"Shedeur has told me… where his heart is, where he wants to go. If it's New York, if it's Tennessee, if it's Cleveland, if it's the Raiders, if it's New Orleans, if it's any of those teams seeking a quarterback, I'm happy with it, man."

That’s a much different tone from last year when Sanders hinted at the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast that some teams were simply not an option—comparing the situation to Eli Manning’s infamous refusal to play for the Chargers in 2004.

So, what changed? Maybe it’s the reality that Shedeur is projected as a top 5 pick, and opportunities at that level don’t come around often. Or maybe Coach Prime is just trusting the process. Either way, he’s confident Shedeur will prove doubters wrong, no matter where he lands.

"I like the hating, I like the naysaying, I like the ignorance because it makes us feel better about what we do, and it gives him another chip on his shoulder," Sanders said.
