Deion Sanders secured another 2026 recruit. Texas three-star wide receiver Jacob Swain has committed to Colorado according to Rivals.

Swain, a Melissa High product, has been a top target for new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion for quite some time.

The 6-foot-1 Swain earned first-team all-state honors as a senior with 53 catches, 1,184 yards, and 17 touchdowns.

Despite 20+ offers from various schools, Swain says Colorado stands out because they view him as a "hidden gem."

"“The message that I've gotten from the staff is that I'm the hidden gem," Swain said to BuffStampede. "Colorado sees something in me that many other P4 programs must have missed.""

Swain joins Christian Ward as a 2026 wide receiver commit. Meanwhile, three-star receiver Xavier McDonald has reopened his recruitment after initially committing to Colorado to play alongside his brother Dolph.

Swain joins a potential top-three Big 12 wide receiver room. Transfers DeAndre Moore Jr. (Texas), Danny Scudero (San Jose State), Kam Perry (Miami-OH), and Ernest Campbell (Sacramento State) combine with returners Joseph Williams, Hykeem Williams, Quanell Farrakhan Jr., and Quentin Gibson to create a versatile unit that doesn’t lack in the speed department.

Coach Prime recruited proven receivers who can contribute immediately. Swain will develop behind a deep, competitive receiver room with position battles extending into Spring and Fall.
