The Colorado Buffaloes are showing an obvious push in their recruiting efforts, zeroing in on high school tight ends to enhance their offense. Their latest target is 2027 prospect Landon Wolny, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound talent from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Currently attending First Baptist Academy in Naples, Florida, Wolny has already secured offers from both Colorado and Ole Miss.
Wolny's versatility as a wide receiver and tight end makes him a valuable asset. His connection to Colorado, coupled with his impressive skill set, positions him as a prime candidate for the Buffaloes' future lineup. He announced via Twitter, that he is scheduled to visit Colorado on April 12th.
Not stopping there, the Buffaloes have also set their sights on 2026 four-star tight end Carson Sneed. Despite his commitment to Tennessee, Sneed has shown interest in Colorado, scheduling an official visit to Boulder on June 13th. The opportunity to be coached by legends like Deion Sanders has to be a compelling draw for Sneed.
Coach Prime and his staff are making one thing clear—Colorado is serious about landing top high school tight ends. With the Buffs continuing to build for the future, they’ve put a strong emphasis on recruiting playmakers at the position, and it’s not by accident.
Unlike other programs, by prioritizing high school tight ends, I believe Colorado is making a statement—they’re not just looking for short-term upgrades. They’re actually focused on building sustained success in the long-term.
