Colorado freshman wide receiver Adrian Wilson, who enrolled early and went through spring ball, is officially back in the transfer portal. And to be honest? I’m not surprised at all.
Colorado true freshman WR Adrian Wilson has entered the transfer portal, @mzenitz and I have learned for @247Sports.

Wilson’s journey has been full of twists already. The guy committed to TCU, then flipped to Oregon, then Arizona State, and finally landed in Boulder. That’s four different decisions before he even played a snap in college. So yeah — this latest move feels less like a surprise and more like a pattern.
He’s a talented kid, no doubt. His high school numbers were impressive — nearly 2,000 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns over his junior and senior years at Weiss High School. But talent alone doesn’t get you through the grind of college football. Especially not under Coach Prime.
Coach Prime’s made it clear: if you don’t want to be in Boulder, don’t bother staying. He’s building something different here, and it starts with guys who are all-in. Not just when it’s convenient.
One of the biggest lessons you learn growing up is how to stick to something — even when it’s hard. That’s maturity. But the transfer portal? It’s turning into a place where players learn the opposite. No commitment, no accountability, just quick exits if things get tough.
It’s a shame. I wish Wilson the best, but if you’re trying to build something real — like Coach Prime is — you need guys who aren’t just passing through and are willing to learn what commitment means.
