Jordan Seaton isn’t just a name on a watchlist anymore. He’s not just a former five-star or a promising young lineman. No — Seaton is becoming the face of Colorado Football right now.
And he's earning that status.
This week, Seaton was the lone Colorado Buffalo named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-American Team, landing a spot on the Second Team. It’s a huge honor, and it feels like just the beginning.
Last fall, Seaton stepped onto Folsom Field as a true freshman and didn’t miss a beat. He started all 13 games at left tackle, going head-to-head with grown men in one of the toughest conferences in the country. The Freshman All-American accolades rolled in.
Now, as a sophomore, he’s stepping into an even bigger role: team leader and cornerstone.
Bigger than the hype
It’s one thing to have the body of a first-round draft pick. At 6-foot-5, 330 pounds, it’s the way he moves, the way he carries himself, that separates him.
He’s not just the biggest guy on the field — he’s the guy everyone else watches to figure out how serious the day is. Last month, a video surfaced of Seaton pushing guys hard in summer conditioning drills.
Coach Prime said it best back in March: “He’s such a good young man, not just the talent, but the character. That’s what we’re looking for here at CU.”
You can see it on the field, but you really feel it off the field.
Work ethic that speaks
Yesterday, a video made its rounds on Buffs Twitter of Seaton, Zy Crisler, and Larry Johnson III putting in offseason work with none other than Trent Williams — arguably the best left tackle in football.

You don’t just get to work out with a future Hall of Famer unless you’re cut from a similar cloth. Williams was pouring into these guys, and Seaton was right there, absorbing it like a vet.
The drills, the footwork, the technique — it was elite-level stuff. And Seaton looked like he was the leader of the group. That’s what first-rounders do in the offseason.
And I don’t say that lightly. Seaton has the frame, the attitude, and the drive. We’re watching a future Day 1 pick in real time, and honestly, it’s hard not to feel fired up about it.
Seaton’s not just talking — he’s leading
With Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig off to the NFL, the Buffs locker room needs new leaders to emerge. Seaton didn’t wait to be asked. He stepped in.
“He’s encouraging the guys, telling them what they did and what they need to do,” Coach Prime said. “He epitomizes what we want here at CU — smart, tough, fast, disciplined young men with character.”
That’s not me being biased. Ask anyone around the program — Seaton is the guy right now.
He’s vocal. He’s invested. He shows up early and stays late. That matters.
Protecting the future of the program
Whether it’s Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter or five-star freshman Julian “JuJu” Lewis taking snaps this fall, one thing’s for sure — they’ll have one of the best blind-side protectors in the country in No. 77.
And don’t underestimate how valuable that is. With the Buffs looking to take another leap under Coach Prime, having Seaton anchoring the offensive line for two more seasons is a luxury most teams dream about.
He's a protector, and he empowers the offense. His presence alone gives CU a chance to stay upright against the elite front sevens of the Big 12.
Colorado’s schedule in 2025 is no joke. There will be battles. But if there’s one player who makes you believe we’re ready for the moment, it’s Jordan Seaton.
He’s the foundation of this program.
In a year full of questions, Jordan Seaton is the answer. And if he keeps trending like this, don’t be surprised if he hears his name called early in April '27.
Until then, we get to watch him transform into a menacing presence week after week.
Let’s enjoy every snap.
