The Colorado Buffaloes took center stage at the Big 12 Pro Day, showcasing their talent ahead of the NFL Draft. Safeties Shilo Sanders and Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig were absent from the defensive backs' session, several Buffs made the most of their opportunity.

Travis Jay put up solid numbers with a 33-inch vertical and 12 reps on the bench, while fellow defensive back Herman Smith III slightly edged him with a 33.5-inch vertical. On the offensive side, former Vanderbilt transfer Will Sheppard stood out with a 38.5-inch vertical and a 10-foot-6 broad jump, making a strong case for himself as a late-round draft prospect.

Special teams ace Mark Vassett is set to participate in Friday’s specialists' session, and Buffaloes who didn’t take part in the Big 12 Pro Day will get their shot at CU’s in-house "football showcase" on April 4. Head coach Deion Sanders isn’t holding back his expectations, anticipating all 32 NFL teams to attend.

“We’re going to try to put on the best show possible,” Sanders said. “These young men will be at peace, at home, and can just do what they’ve been gifted to do.”
